Not ever going to happen in your life time as the republic movement is dead as a dodo in Australia
So what do you object to our national flag, what dont you like about it and do you consider our flag racist?

Maybe, maybe not. Being a republic supporter, I would prefer that the Union Jack be removed. I do not like what it represents nor do I consider it to be relevant these days. I do like the Southern Cross and hope that that stays because, unlike the Union Jack, it does have asthetic appeal and actually is representive of this country. I don't consider the flag to be racist.

A flag is a pievce of cloth bearing an abstract design how can it be racist, sexist or any other kind of "ist".? it is the people who misuse it to proclaim privilage or superiority over others that are the problem.
I also feel the Union Jack is no longer relevant and would like to see it go. I rather like the one designed by Franck Gentil

Lots of good has been done under our current flag, but all that means nothing if you have tunnel vision and can only focus on the bad, the sad part is that in a few time if we were to change the flag the same people would be complaining about all the bad done under the new flag

Canada and South Africa have both managed to change their flags without detroying the patriotism of their citizens.

And, no doubt people will fight and die under a new flag. My grandfather did not fight in WWI because of a flag and would have fought no matter what was on the flag.

What about a dark yellow background with an emu on it with its head stuck in the ground wearing thongs and a tinny under each wing

One word in particular comes to mind and that is "propaganda".
What do you call it when the PM claims Australian made is of lesser quality therefore we need to purchase our submarines OS?
