Prey tell what?

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

So what would you like the flag to be in Australia?  What symbols or colours would you like on our flag or would you prefer another countries flag than the one we have?

What flag would you be pleased with as the one to fly in Australia?

It's just your mind Boris. But then I am not a cryptologist and can not decipher what those characters represent in everyday language 🙂

Blue text????

Are you being subliminally brain washed to have right tendencies?

Whilst this T-shirt may not be defined as overtly "racist", I do believe you have to look at the intent of the people that are selling it and those that would choose to wear it.  It is a clearly none-too-subtle message to "foreigners" to get out.  It scratches the dark underbelly of patriotism/xenophobia whilst offering nothing positive.  I can see it being worn by the usual Australian louts with bumper stickers that read " F off, we're full".  I wouldn't wear one for quids and I can't see why anyone would.

Is it a friendly, engaging and inclusive message ? No.

Is it in good taste ? No.

Is it a positive message ? No.

Does it invoke fear and and division to get the message across ? Yes.

Does it add value to our current way of life and contribute positively to community discussion about migration & multiculturalism ? No.

It's a great thing about our society that people can freely sell, wear, promote and debate this sort of rubbish, isn't it ?

Someone very wise once said to me that messages of patriotism are positive, enriching and are about self. Whilst messages of racism are negative, confrontational and are about someone else.

That tshirt fits right into the second category.

Spot on.
