And is it not unkind to throw stones at a dog?

If you say so.

Not everyone likes cats or dogs in the home.

ooops sorry I meant to say it IS unkind

Not allowing a dog in a house is far different to regarding them as "unclean" and not wanting to/being allowed to touch a dog.

Many of my farming friends have working dogs that are not regarded as family "pets",they are kept outside, they are also well cared for and certainly not thought of as being "an unclean animal"

True, I don't.

Now why does that not surprise me?

My mum didn't allow animals in the house.

I don't want a cat in mine, not partial to them, hate seeing them running across the road.

My dog has his own bed, not allowed on mine.

I don't like dogs licking children (or me)

I HATE cleaning up animal droppings.

I HATE my lawn being defecated on. (inconsiderate people who don't carry a bag with them for their dogs.)

It doesn't mean people don't like dogs or cats.

Correct.

I don't like the idea of pet animals being kept inside houses or small yards either.

There are Subway stores on just about every corner in many, many places in the world. Wouldn't take long to find one that offers the type of meat one prefers. Processed meat does nothing for me, especially plasticky ham.

We shoot feral animals in Australia.  That is unkind also.
