Forums are informal. I hope you are going to point out every posters typo, spelling mistakes, grammar errors, misuse of words in their posts now. It wouldn't be fair to do it to targeted posters only,

Including edited posts 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Are you resigning?

If someone told me I spelt a word wrongly, I would appreciate it, take notice and spell it correctly from then on.

I used to spell separately wrongly ( TAFE teacher pointed that out).  IN REAL LIFE.

Please  "appreciate, take notice and use the correct spelling of the same adverb used twice in your above response.  The "how?" word.

I don't target people.

I don't need to and won't stoop to that level.  I am comfortable enough with myself, therefore I don't intentionally look for and find fault in anybody else to make them feel uncomfortable.

An invitation was sought by you, for "someone" to correct you if you were to make a spelling error.  So I did.Smiley Frustrated

Unfortunately, you won't acknowledge  my own investigation into the use of the word "wrong/wrongly".

There is no acknowledgement or agreement that we are both, in fact, correct in the matter.  Common-day usage.

(Please remember that my education of spelling and grammar was common-day for that time - 1950s.  Goodness, I realize I still don't use an 's', or spell colour in the accepted common-day manner.)

I acknowledge your investigative nature.

However,  knowledge doesn't always come from a few selected articles that may suit your own argument.

Further investigation may afford you another avenue of thought. Just as I investigated further, to come to the conclusion that we are both correct.

I also stated further on that I allow for people's typographical errors, and personal constraints.

I have learnt that, often, the views of a person who has some restrictions are more interesting people who may view life from a different perspective and are compensated with a special incitefulness; regardless of spelling, "typos", etc.

They can be a breath of fresh air.

I acknowledge that I have made a spelling error.

How is "hmmm white or wholemeal " anything but a joke at my expense

certainly came across that way.

It may come across that way to you or anyone else with an agenda................ however you would be mistaken.

This continually trying to make this to be much more of an issue, than it really was, is also akin to the bullying some have accused others of doing.

And reposting full definitions of posters posts  is rude and not neccessary. Also the reposting of full articles and links then remonstrating that the initial post wasn't attributed.

If people don't understand the initial post they can ask questions, that's what the forum is for.

Pointing out spelling mistakes and grammar mistakes and posting full definitions of  said mistakes is also rude.
