Footrot...now that's a name I haven't heard in years! OK, here's my Footrot story. Many years ago, I was working in the Antarctic. Well, the Kiwis had a sled dog team at Scott Base. One afternoon an Aussie politician, whose name I've long forgotten, had wangled a trip to the Antarctic for a photo op. While addressing the cameras (and using the dogs as a prop) the politician was blissfully unaware that the lead dog, named "Footrot", had cocked a leg and was peeing down the politician's leg. It was a hoot and worth the trip to the Antarctic to see an honest political expression.
The lead dog up there is Footrot while sledding on the Ross ice shelf.
