On the ABC.

How lucky we are times have changed so much.  Please, let's not ever go back to those attitudes.

That's for sure. It was shocking the way those girls and their children were treated.

I have just watched this programme.  Heartbreaking tragedy.

We did the same here of course.

It was and Yes, we did.

It's not any kind of excuse but it was the way it was, in many places.

There are so many things we find heartbreaking and wouldn't tolerate today...................... slavery included.

Contemporary slavery, also known as modern slavery, refers to the institutions of slavery that continue to exist in the present day. Estimates of the number of slaves today range from 12 million to 29 million.

Lets hope in another 100 years they look back on our times with the same thoughts.

Forced prostitution.

Clergy abusing children.

Abuse rampant in many aboriginal communities.

Torture and horrors in the middle east.

Dictators and their crimes across Africa.

Just to name a few.

Human trafficking, including unborn babies, is of mammoth proportion

Human trafficking represents an estimated $31.6 billion of international trade per annum in 2010. Human trafficking is thought to be one of the fastest-growing activities of transnational criminal organizations.
