In the beginning was nothing.
The nothingness is actually something.
The something that was nothing reacted with the nothingness that was something and with the elements that were in the nothingness.
This reaction caused the nothingness that was something to explode and as a result the world came into existance.
Non life became life and somehow caused all manner of plants and trees and seeds and animals and man.

As opposed to this? In the beginning was this uncreated being, who was not human but nevertheless possessed every human characteristic and emotion e.g. love, anger jealousy, and insisted on being called by a human, Jewish name - and got narked if people spelled it wrong - who suddenly decided to create the Universe - out of nothing - simply by saying "let it exist."

How could it be spelt wrongly - they had no vowels to worry about.
And - like Madonna & a few others - didn't bother with a family name.

Actually in the beginning there was matter however small.
And one day scientists will discover what was there before matter.
The theory is way more tangible than a religious story.
