As opposed to this? In the beginning was this uncreated being, who was not human but nevertheless possessed every human characteristic and emotion e.g. love, anger jealousy, and insisted on being called by a human, Jewish name - and got narked if people spelled it wrong - who suddenly decided to create the Universe - out of nothing - simply by saying "let it exist."

Actually in the beginning there was matter however small.

And one day scientists will discover what was there before matter.

The theory is way more tangible than a religious story.
