there was an interesting program i saw on sbs (a while back) they say it would take approx 200 years to see any signs of recovery, but of course no-one would be around to see it. 

what they call acid rain would break down most of the concrete, new vegetation growth etc

gotta wonder which race are/were the intelligents ones, the ones who took only what they need and lived with the land or the white man and his technology? 

I imagine that it would take thousands maybe millions of years...maybe hundreds for the first minor indication of recovery.

What a perfect planet without the blight of the human race..

Unfortunately all other species would probably perish too..
