Oh, it gets even better, Debra. I have it on very good authority that the original name he cited  on his website was Tudawali. Someone must have had a word in his shell pink ear and pointed out that Tudawali didn't come from Tasmania - he was from the NT - so the article was hastily edidted to read Truganini instead Unfortunately either he didn't bother to change the gender of the personal pronoun, or he didn't know who Truganini actually was.

I'm not happy that some people condemn others for their race, their skin colour or for the place where they are born.

But, I'm quite happy and comfortable to condemn others if they are racist or misogynistic or if they are religious nutters who condemn evryone else  if we refuse to believe in or to  share in their dismal delusions.

Not that I'd ever do that of course. But there are some people in our society who might . . . thank (insert deity of your choice . . . or Reason) that we didn't go down the American road and consecrate the "right" to go out  and about in society armed with guns.

We enshrine the right to expect from our fellow citizens that they will not go out armed to the teeth so that they can back up their arguments with bullets.

If you want to fight, then use your fists . . . but better by far is to use your brain and your intellect to not get into a situtaion where you wil have to fight in the first place.

Guns are for cowards and for dullards. Aggressive, paranoid, argumentative, insecure, sociopathic and very dangerous dullards who believe that "might is right".

And if you say that you need your guns . . . then think about why you think you need them and address the problems in your society which make you think that way.

Interesting that the OP claims Tassie got rid of the indigenous folks because they started fires and ate goannas...........yet the OP want to get rid of the Muslims because they wear burkhas and don't eat pork...........

*sigh*    the left just dont get any form of humour or a takeoff bit of writing at all.   But seems its had its desired result..... and that is the left dont get it and show yet again that they have no sense of humour.

No, they got rid of them because they "hunted them as a sport" and because they killed livestock, which is understandable.

I think the last hunt for Aboriginals was early last century, might have been as late as 1929.
