There is no law that says you can't walk on a public street talking on your phone.

Same with the ball.

Move house? To one that is further back from the street.. with bedrooms at the back.

but there is about motor vehicle noise.

Did I address motor vehile noise (one incident in the opening post) in that post of mine. No,  I didn't.

actually, here in SA i was told it is against the law to disturb someones peace no matter what time of day.

I was told that by a police officer when i rang about a party music blaring at 1am a few years ago. They asked why i didnt call earlier and i said i wasnt sure what the times were that they could play music loud too. They told me if its disturbing your peace, no matter what time, you can ring the police.

Good luck with that.

Hello, Police Officer, someone walked past my house bouncing a basketball, talking on their phone.

Next morning call again, say same thing... repeat etc

Don't police have more important things to do than field calls from people like that? Like investigating armed robberies etc.

Must be nice to be able to sleep past 5am on a regular basis.  I've been able to do that only for the past 2 years.  50 years before that, no chance.  Had to go to work.

wth?

So what are you insinuating? That because we sleep past 5am, we dont work?

No, I did not insinuate that.  Accept words that are said instead of reading animus into them.

My OP did not mention the law at all so this thread is actually NOT about the law.

Its about "Inconsiderate or just plain rude?"

There are rude and inconsiderate people in the world who dont break the law you know.

Then you have to suck it up.....moaning on a forum isn't going to stop these people 'annoying' you.

The other residents in your street might not even notice these annoying people.

am, where did i even say i was going to call the police?

Just a rminded for you...this thread isnt about the law, breaking the law or anything lawful at all.

Its about rude inconsiderate people.

I personally would not do any of the things mentioned in my OP because i would assume that others may not be up at that time of day, people may need to use their driveway, my neighbours may not want my rubbish on their front yard or people may be in bed at that time of night.

But i guess im just considerate or the people around me

yep.  i don't know what it is that makes  people

so inconsiderate.  their upbringing i suppose.

stupidity maybe.  actually, majority of people are

stupid so there is so answer.

i can moan where ever i want to thankyou.

This thread is not against ebay board rules.

If you dont wish to read my moaning, feel free to visit another thread

I think you need to move... near a high school and  motorbike for a ride on the tennis courts across the road from my house.

Pick a quiet cul de sac next time.

If the law doesnt prevent people from doing the noisy things you find annoying then it is not worth moaning about them... what is the point? It won't make you feel any better at 5am tomorrow when you hear a ball being bounced on the path outside.

I am always tempted to record the noise and play it back at the noisy neighbours before dawn in the morning...

then I remember that that would wake up all the others who were sleep deprived too  😄
