I do hear what you are saying DDB, unfortunately, that's what happens when you live in the "burbs". These days people are inconsiderate towards others, it's very much a me, me, world 😞
but i dont think it has always been like that.
When i was a kid, neighbours were considerate of neighbours.
People kept an eye on each others property.
If you were having a party, you would go tell your neighbours and let them know the music might be a bit loud but would be turned off by such and such a time

yeah you did:
Must be nice to be able to sleep past 5am on a regular basis. I've been able to do that only for the past 2 years. 50 years before that, no chance. Had to go to work.
No I did not. Do not change my post by enlarging and using bold lettering. YOU have changed the meaning of my post by doing that.
I was whingeing about my working life and being grateful that now I can sleep in. That is saying NOTHING about anybody else.
i didn't change anything.
the only reason for highlighting that part of your post
was because you denied there was an insinuation.
i still think it was pretty clear that there was.

ok polks
I apologise for reading something into your post that wasnt there.
We all wake up at 7am. Hubby leave the house for work at 7:30am.
I think thats what makes the loud phone talker and basketballer more annoying. Cause they are waking us up an hour or two before we need to actually wake up.
So you lay there cranky that you are missing the final hour or two of sleep and trying hard to get back to sleep which ends up keeping you awake

Inconsiderate gits.
The bouncing ball would drive me nuts. I hate being woken up early.

Thank you. I was really only whingeing about my shirty life. There is nothing worse than having to go to work if you haven't had a decent night's sleep. And you can never catch up on those hours missed.

i have a lot of people walking past here in the early morning talking and chatting, it doesn't bother me now but should they start bouncing a basketball as well i'd be telling them where to shove it.
we have baby magpies here that wake us up with their squawking and they tap on the windows too the ittle stinkers.
