i somehow doubt they would get it. Video is too compelling.

Although in this screwed up world, someone in some Gov't department will say they are disadvantaged, abused,

of 1/64th Aboriginal descent and give them a payout for some convulted reason.

i wonder what wold have happened if the driver had defended himself ?

A serco bus driver in Adelaide was sacked when he left his seat to defend himself and remove the person who was hitting him in the head.

If he was Serco, there might well have been more to it than that.

the only thing to it is that they are not permitted to leave thier seat for any reason including to assist pasengers thet may be getting assulted or even themselves

Bus drivers are not allowed to touch passengers, or leave their seats.

Their only defence is letting the bus depot know he is in trouble, the bus depot do the rest in getting help.

Stupid rules then if you cant even defend yourself.

This guy left his seat and defended himself which was good to see.
Pity the camera was rolling, those two need a good clip around the head.

No, not stupid rules if the driver cant defend himself............if he was allowed it would turn into an all out brawl......

The driver is there to take passengers from A to B, as safely as he can, he is paid to to this, he is not paid to fight on the bus.

The older woman pulled and pulled at the driver, so yes he left his seat, what else could he do, when he was pulled.........the women are at fault not the driver.

She straight out punch him in the chest first, then tried to clip him around the head - and missed or barely connected - then he reacted and grabbed her to stop her hitting him further. She still got one more into the chest.
Idiots.

Because of idiots like her, druggies, drunks, louts, my husband and many other drivers left the bus company. My hubby had driven buses for many yrs. on many different routes around Melbourne, there are many incidents on buses with unruly passengers that never make the news.

Driving a bus use to be a safe occupation, not these days, if it was safe, hubby and many other drivers would still be driving.
