If its too hard to have a seperate label for the export market then they have to prepared for a back lash from the local market.

TBH I think it's only a small vocal minority actually arking up about it and the vast majority couldn't give a you know whats rats clacker they just buy without carring.

It's not the fact it's to hard Hawk, the costs involved in running seperate production runs is enormous so it's simpler and more cost effective to make it all the same for both markets, that's business.

It only requires changing the label its no big deal to do that. chances are they use different ones and boxes anyway to suit the intended country.

as you say many dont care but a rapidly growing number do care and will chose to buy a non Halal product because they do care.

I am sure you are capable of looking for yourself, it may provide a wake up call

About 18 months ago they stopped labelling their products gluten free, becsause they couldn't guarentee absolutely no contamintion
