Morning everyone. What a beautiful morning!

I woke up early and thinking it was later I just got up. It was only 5:40 but I think I will do that more often. So peaceful and cool.

we've got a couple of hot ones coming up here Joono, has your weather cooled down a bit now?

It's not bad at the moment Deb but heating up again for the weekend and hot hot hot on Monday.

Gorgeous day here too.

Joono........youngest son often gets up really early for his 10klm walk..........(crazy boy......)...........just so he can see the sun rise.............he often gets some great pictures.

We went for a 2klm walk this morning............we have our grandson and he is not fond of walking much further than that.

There is only usually half a dozen people around when we go...............but today there must have been about 60.........all the New Year Resolutioners...............I wonder if they will still be walking next week.

Last week our grandson did not want to come for our walk............so he stayed home with our youngest son.

I just knew they would get up to mischief..............(they always do)

Our grandson could not keep a secret if his life depended on it............it you tell him a secret it is like lighting a fire cracker.............eventually you know it will explode.

As soon as we got in the door he came running up to me and goes.........Nanny......guess what Uncle let me do.

I knew it would involve food.............(their favourite past time.)

Apparently it was not eating the chips and biscuits that had got him all excited.

They had found a bottle of Ice Magic left over from Christmas Day.....................and had been squirting it in each others mouth.................

Glad the walk only takes 30 minutes................goodness  knows what they would have done next.

Haha that's crazy Flashie.  Fancy going for 10k morning walks and then drinking ice magic.  Kind of defeats the purpose.

I have to get moving again and get back to the gym next week. It's only been just over a week and already my waistband feels a bit snug.  We still have heaps of choccies left so that could be a problem.

How to keep an eight year old occupied............a bowl of grapes and sit in the arm chair and let him try and throw them in  your mouth........................good grief...............whose idea was that.........................

Afternoon Ladies,

I have  just read your thread Flashie re your brother who had passed away without you seeing/contacting him..geez my heart goes out to you..but maybe you should make contact with his mother at some time cos you never know if you don`t give it a try..not been flippent F but I know what a missed opportunity entails.....maybe take a plunge and do it..at least then you can rest easy..iykwim

I was thinking about this too Nics.  I was wondering, isn't it possible that fairly soon his mother would also love to meet his sister?
