morning all

 

it's a hot one here today, complete with a hot northerly wind. How's things in Tassie Flashie?

I am getting ready for a MIL visit..............I don't know why I fuss.........but I do.

 

Deb......it is already over 31 degrees here.............I hate it.

 

I am sitting in the loungeroom with the airconditioner on.

 

I went outside to peg out the washing and felt.......................

 

I know just how that cat feels......

Hubby has been outside since early this morning packing up Christmas stuff......................which believe me is not easy job here...............there is a certain order things need to go back in the garage..................or it wont fit.

 

He does not seem to feel the heat...............where as I do.................I always look forward to the cold.

there are lots fires breaking around Vic now, not sure what to expect with the weather change that's said to be on it's way. Of concern to us atm is a a couple of fires burning at Hastings, one being about 1k from BIL's home and headed in his direction. He says the choppers are flying overhead picking up water from nearby dams. hope they can get it under control soon

 

absolutely shocking conditions in SA, I believe that all ground crews have been called off now to leave it to the aerial bombers

hmmm now there are 3 fires down there and upgraded to emergency, he is about in the middle of the 3 of them, not hearing much about it atm

You must be very worried Deb.

 

Would he have evacuated?

He and his wife are both ex police officers Joono, so I'm pretty confident they'll know what to do. He did say their young son was scared though.

AppArently there is heavy rain in the far west so hopefully it rains where the fires are. On the news they just showed a burnt out wood yard at Hastings.

not sounding so good down there atm Joono, they have taken their son to a friends place & gone back home

They're now reporting all under control with no homes lost, so, good news there

But where is my rain??
