I can watch or read the news to be informed. Don't need a forum for that.

well simple. Watch the heavily vetted tv 'news' and read the heavily vetted 'news'papers (LOL!!) and stay away from having any input to any discussion threads about anything political anywhere anytime with anyone.
There.
not rocket science now is it
LOL

Forums are to discuss issues. Online news, newspapers or TV news is just sitting and reading/watching... no interaction.

Well there you are. Some need back up for their opinions on things. Others don't. My point was that there previously were more varied topics started, but they got shot down as being posters too big for their boots.

Discussing issues of any sort, doesn't mean people are seeking to back up their own opinions. You can learn somethings you never knew or understood.
The past is just that, the past. Harking back to the past is a worry.

I often wonder why some people come here..........................they don't like the threads, they don't like the posters, don't like the discussion,.......

Point missed, as usual. The constant politcal bashing that seems to be the only threads here is not everyone's cup of tea. I was suggesting that some posters like threads not of a political nature. Same old bashing gets tedious.
