I'm sorry if you think the threads are not cool. Every single thread included questions that Bob has asked others to answer. With the exception of the travel thread.

I think of Bob as my oldest son. I love his adventurous spirit. He has traveled to places in the U.S. that I have never been to, and never will go see. He is curious.

The difference is your threads are targetting a single poster (making it personal).  If bob starts a thread, it is up to any posters whether they want to answer any of his questions or not. No one gets targeted by him when he starts a thread.
