Jones, the darling of the right, spent an hour on Brisbane radio this morning attacking Newman. 

Mr Jones, who will host a one hour election special on 4BC, has promised to take aim at Premier Campbell Newman during his show, labelling the state leader “a bully and a liar”.

Mr Jones said he would take aim at the Premier, particularly over proposed open-cut mining near his old home of Acland, judicial appointments, coal-seam gas and “a thousand other stories”.

“I will be saying things about the Government that haven’t been said before and they won’t be flattering,” he said.

“Not a word this man (Mr Newman) says can be believed,” he said.

“The man is a bully.”
