I reckon I offended a Muslim the other day in a shop car park.
i pulled up, a person was standing nearby, who I guessed was a Muslim by the dress and the Mosque nearby.
I let my dog out of the car as I normally do, never seen someone turn and move so fast in my life.
Then it clicked, Muslims and Dogs don't go together.
I've seen exactly the same thing said about Australian aboriginals. That they don't like dogs. It's particularly racist as a thief would never like a dog on the property.
Aps, how do you think that person had any right to stand in the car park with your dog that you left outside whilst you did your shopping?

If Australian Aboriginals don't like dogs, why are the town camps full of (often) mangy, skinny, flea ridden dogs ?
Christ, a couple of years ago when delivering food for Xmas, we actually took along some anti flea chemicals
and de loused the whole lot at this place they were so bad.
Not sure they love dogs but they seem to have one hell of a lot around.
Not sure I understand the second part of your question ?
They have every right to stand there, just as I do.
I don't actually tie my dog up outside the shops, I don't believe in it.
If I need to leave her, she stays in the car, windows slightly open.
Really hot days I don't take her anywhere.

Tell that to every farmer in Australia !
So I am not allowed to pop into a shop to grab milk, smokes or whatever at 10.00pm and leave my dog in / on the car ?
Yeah, righto.
The shop or petrol startion wouldn't get many visitors if you left a pig dog tied up outside !

None of this makes any sense. You said that you let your dog out of the car as you normally do and now you say that your leave her in the car.
Either way. I've heard it said before that "boongs don't like dogs". Please understand, not my words.

My Muslim friends have dogs; actually I met them through my dogs. One family I sold one of my pups, and we remained friends, the other is another breeder who I first met when I came to look at their dogs while in France. Both love their dogs and spoil them like anybody else. It is ridiculous to rigidly divide people by their background. I remember people saying that Jews hate dogs. While many Brits love their dogs very much, there still is RSPCA in Britain and many cases of astonishing cruelty.
By the way, it is against the law to allow dog on the street without leash, and in any case it is rude to allow your dog to intimidate public. But that is something that you do not seem to understand; your right to have a dog comes with responsibility to control the animal so it is not nuisance to the rest of the community. The same with freedom of speech. Unfortunately, some people do not comprehend their responsibilities and then the community wants laws to be introduced. And of course, those bullies who like to walk all over the rights of others, then protest the loudest.

it is very unusual for muslims to
keep dogs as pets.
if they do, they are not allowed to
keep them inside.
Most Muslim scholars agree that the saliva of a dog is ritually impure, and that contact with a dog's saliva requires one to wash seven times. This ruling comes from the hadith: The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him throw away whatever was in it and wash it seven times."

that doesn't mean muslims hate
dogs though. islam forbids cruelty
to animals.

Its illegal to leave a dog in a car alone
Do you have a link to that Az please? I never knew that and I've been googline without success. I know it is illegal if the
temperature/humidity is high but otherwise I didn't know. I never leave my dog in a car as it hates it and kicks up bigtime, but a lot of my friends do (not in the heat).

You know how some people live vicariously through their children? I have a theory that some people live vicariously through their dogs.
Those with pitbulls, pig dogs, kelpies etc.

That just supports the theory that not all muslims are extreme fundamentalists who are still looking for life in the dark ages. Like some Christians they have changed with the times.
