Blame them that came up with all the political correctness, we have so much more now to get offended at. An absolute boon for those that were running out of reasons. What, in your opinion is the difference between political correctness and common politeness?
For those who are naturally polite, politeness encompasses political correctness.
For others, political correctness has been imposed upon them by some government edict, they resent it, they try not to use it, they do their best not to be polite. It is as unnatural to them as a foreign language.
PC first reared it's head in the 1970s as something to consider and adopt.
Some people take a long time to get it.

Some are edicts by unelected people. UN, EU as two good examples.
The EU especially, over paid unelected fat cats.

I'm pretty sure a tv advertisement has been changed to appease the passengers.
I think when the ad for Mr Muscle came out, the boy invented it to help his mum to finish the cleaning so that she could spend time with him.
Now it is for his mum and dad.

Gender neutral toilets, new loos, new signs, for HOW many ?
The extra expense is staggering so a few don't get offended.

Yes? Even my 4 years old grandchild now understands that there are some things you do not say.
So, where would you want to draw the line? Would you, for instance, feel offended if a broadcaster would constantly bang on about how people who hunt are bloodthirsty killers, who get off on the sight of blood and they should not be in the community because if they enjoy killing a deer, they can very easily become murderers. Now, that is not my opinion.
