Did you see my post above suggesting you may have accidently installed/dloaded some pinterest button to your browser? Which sort of makes sense if  this doesn't happen on all your comptuers/devices.

That is suggested when you log into pinterest.

Yes I did Am and yes I have it pinned to my browser and have had for a very long time as I have on my laptop, it has never done this before. I thought I might have been signed in and that that may have been the problem however I am signed out and as I said I put a cleaner through and still the same. It is not doing this on my laptop.

I will investigate further.

Aha, so under options there is a "hide hovering pin it buttons". I wonder when they slipped that in, I have had the button  for a real long time and never encountered the hovering pin it until yesterday.

Fayekinnitt obviously your little html bit didn't work either.  These websites are so devious at times.Woman LOL

Thanks for checking on the pin-it, Roserobin. I found the “no pin” html tag on several websites, so I'm surprised it didn't work. Maybe it won't allow if you actually try to pin a photo with the tag. Anyway, if someone really wants a photo, they can copy it one way or another, so it's most likely a wasted effort.

True, they can Faye but it takes a bit more effort if you can't just pin it.Smiley Very Happy

I still love the photo challenges.

Like Flashie I've been babysitting a fair bit and also mum's not the best, so I haven't had much time to get out and take pics.

The best I could come up with for street art was chalk drawing on my path but it didn't stop raining.

I hope it keeps going, it's a great thread.

I think it may be a combination of the time of year and the themes. Last year the number of contributors to the photo thread had also dwindled during late Dec/ early Jan.

I did a not-so-quick, 8-week comparison of last year to this year (beginning of December through Jan 20th). There was an average of 24 contributors (per theme) in that time period last year and 22 this year.

The themes seem to make the difference when it comes the total number of photos submitted (and the number of contributors), which is to be expected.

Another reason for less photos/participation could be that many have already submitted photos in previous themes and do not wish to use them again. In any case, I hope the thread continues.

Maybe we can start another theme suggestion list, and folks can keep an eye out for a photo op that may fit into one of the potential themes?
