They could easily still be involved, police just may not have the proof yet. Surprising that their names have been released though, but I guess thats inevitable when people know which house is being searched and know who it belongs to.

Perhaps it is journalists who have revealed names and details.  That cannot be prevented these days.

There have been people released 40 years ago who police know were guilty of something.  Until some proof can be attached to those people, they remain free.

There is a cold case being investigated in Queensland where the probable perpetrator is known, but no link has been made yet.

According to the West Australian this morning: "Supt.Paul Fehon said the search was not a major breakthrough."
