I still have not riden the bike yet............I was going to last night when we got back from our walk ..................but there were too many people.............(just in case I fell off.)...................maybe tonight......Cat Wink

good luck with that Flashie, I'm not a bike rider either

Good afternoon everyone!  I'm back after a lovely Australia day feeling very tired after lots of walking along the beautiful foreshore and all that heat.

I think I might have even got a couple of nice fireworks photos this year too so which is perfect for the photo thread. Did you end up going Deb? The Perth one was pretty spectacular and we had a perfect view.

Did I miss some drama 😄 Oh well, I can imagine LOL

Joono

No we didn't go last night Joono, it was a cold night here. They still had a successful night with 100 people on board though.

Today, OH, the captain and the engineer have just left to sail the boat to Hastings, it has to go up on the slips for maintenance, they should arrive there around 7am tomorrow. So I'll be keeping an eye on the weather reports, hope they have a calm trip

They have headed back in, something about using too much fuel whatever that means. Going to try again soon

Good evening Stringers Smiley Happy

Tennis winding down - work taking precedence.  Real life balance lol

Those fireworks were fantastic j*oono - glad you had a great day and night

Experienced or not Prim - some obviously enjoy feeding off them.  Too much time on their hands perhaps?

Bushfires north and south of here - thunderstorms predicted for next three days are not going to improve the situation with everything so dry.

Will have to wait for the 'Flashie' report in the morning - did she or didn't she?????

Just think Deb - you didn't have to battle the traffic to get home last night ..... gotta look on the bright side Smiley Happy

.

It was a very good day Laney.  One of our best. Another photo from the fireworks.

A friend of my sister and brother in law invited us up to his waterfront apartment again. In the foreground is a first aid set up that was put there for the day only. My photos are taken from his balcony.

Joono

Spectacular view you obviously had j*oono.

What did you think of the laser lights?

I mentioned traffic jams (or avoiding them) to Deb and last night was glad we were not out on the water when I saw the vessels of all shapes and sizes moored there.  I bet the water police had their hands full lol

It was a perfect night weatherwise for everyone though.

.

We don't really see the laser lights from the South Perth side of the river Laney.  I suppose when they are going on we have other fireworks obscuring them.

There were so many boats out there. Probably more than any other year that I have seen. Our host explained that they had their lights wrong too with the red green and white. I didn't even know that.

Joono

I couldn't quite work out where the laser lights were coming from - looked like a few really high water spouts too.

The effects were amazing with the laser lights making smoke-ring like circles too

To us there seemed so many more boats than previous years too

Do you mean the lights on the boats were wrong?

Two too many toos in that lot Smiley LOL
