Joono, I know Foxtel are not IInet but....
I had a problem with my foxtel not working. We phoned foxtel about 15 times. We had to wait 3 weeks for someone to come look at it. When they did they announced it was not a foxtel problem but a telstra problem. Foxtel said they had arranged for telstra to come and fix the line within 48 hours. Of course they did not show up and after about 8 calls to telstra by us and being passed between fox and telstra again, telstra finally came about a week later and fixed the corroded wiring in the pit.
My point.......telstra and foxtel are associated but still, with the problem being passed back and forth again, we could not get anyone here for nearly a month.
So....good luck !!!!!!

Well I have done the cooking for the boys while we are away................(I know they will not starve that is for sure)
Our eldest son has taken this Monday off work.................(it is a public holiday is Southern Tasmania)..................hubby was a little perplexed.......................but not me.
He has two pair of work pants.................if he has Monday off then he will not have to wash and iron his pants for work.....................
..................slacker!!!
I have had to leave a list...........feed guinea pigs...............lock windows and back door.
I have also paid our grand daughter to go around and do the washing up for us before we get back.
Now I jsut have to go into work for a few hours and then I can pack...............and tomorrow morning we are off.
Be good if I don't get back in here before we go.

Good morning Stringsters
I missed wishing Flashie a fun break but I hope the weather is ideal and they have a great time.
Not much happening here. I have a friend who comes to Sydney every few months dropping by and we are going to treat ourselves by going out to lunch. Apart from that, just boring housework.
Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone. Our internet is good today but still no phone.
Telstra sent me a text saying that their commitment to repair is by 17/2. That's a long stretch but I don't really care now if we have the internet back. The landline seems to only be used for nuisance calls now and I'd rather it wasn't even there.
Exciting news for me today. I am doing a Freddie! We had painters around this morning and they will be starting here in a couple of weeks and redoing the whole house. I just want to go very pale neutral/white. It's difficult to pick the right shade but they suggested hog bristle quarter strength so I'll see if I can get a sample pot. Whites are hard to choose but I want a colour that is very saleable if that's what we will eventually do.
Nice day here. What's for dinner? I can't make up my mind.

Good afternoon Stringers
You girls seem to have had awful problems with your phones/inet/foxtel etc - sure hope you manage to get them sorted ...... so frustrating. Touch wood Telstra have been pretty good for us - only one real problem in 10 years and that was resolved by them providing a wifi thingo and a big credit until they resolved our modem problem.
Wonder how Flashie and her OH are enjoying themselves .... hope we get pics and that their home is still in one piece on their return ![]()
A busy couple of days and last night out to a commemorative dinner with some folks who lost their homes in a bushfire. Four years ago yesterday j*oono - can you believe that?
Super news re your painting j*oono - ours could do with similar but too much else on the go at the moment. An added benefit for you will be the disappearance of any evidence of smoking forever!
Dinner tonight? After a couple of long days it will be at home and I will make pizza - easy peasey and no dressing up lol

Just home from a delightfully relaxing lunch at Parramatta Lakes. There must be new management at the cafe/restaurant because everything we had was perfect, as was the service, though the reviews on the internet over the last few years were dismal.
Though I knew this area existed, I had never been there. Its a tranqul spot with absolutely no indication that it is in the middle the suburbs.
Almost absurd was the tent with the TWO lifeguards in a spot over looking and bouy marked area set aside for swimming. There was ONE man in the water for about 20 minutes of the 4 hours we were there (yes, 4 hours.....we talked a lot). I acknowledge there should be two lifeguards and why.......but it did look funny.
Suffice to say there were kids just around a bend jumping from rocks and generally doing life threatening things kids do around water, out of sight but I guess within calling distance of the lifeguards if there was a problem.
I will revisit soon with OH...he likes the serenity of that type of scenery too.
Veal cutlets, red wine jus, smashed new potatoes, broccoli, beans, corn for dinner and it is so hot I think we will have it outside.
Have a good night everyone.

Wow! Dinner sounds yummy Prim. You will have to let me know how to make the red wine jus. I'm sure that makes it special.
What a lovely lunch too. You should write a review for them and even the balance. I didn't know that they would have lifeguards at a lake. I thought that was just at the beach.
Laney, 4 years! Time really does fly doesn't it. I was out for a couple of hours today and the air just looks so smokey and dirty but not quite as bad as yesterday afternoon. Anyone with asthma will have to take some precautions.
