Abbott leadership crisis: PM has bought time — that is all

TONY Abbott has bought some time but that’s all.

While the leadership spill motion was defeated by 61 to 39 votes the size of the support for the motion is an almost fatal blow for the Prime Minister.

It is also an almost fatal blow for the Liberal party.

..the margin for the vote suggests there are enough Liberals prepared to be like Labor to set in train a destabilisation process that will mean weeks or months of debilitation for the Government.

...The Liberals can’t win where they are and can’t win without the Liberal voter base.

Media regurgitation 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Media, for the media, regurgitated by those without logic or original thought.

She does look like she has been placed in the naughty corner!

Tony Abbott takes round one, just, but fight for Liberal leadership is far from over

Rather than settling anything, Monday's result will probably ensure another bout.
