It is no secret that lawyers do 'pro bono' work, you don't need to have belonged to a school debating team with input from a Law Society and REAL magistrates to work that one out!
Apart from that lawyers often approach people in trouble with the law and offer their services pro bono.

No, I don't know that off hand.
Not off topic either, in a thread about unauthorised access to information.
Freya had lots of offers to pay her legal bills, that is why she stated she didn't have any legal bills. She paid the $4-500 approx that she owed in relation to her court case herself.

everyone wants to make career contacts but I fail to see what it has to do with exposing the abbotts and the fake scholarship
Unless she knew a long time before she got the job at whitehouse, and she knew that she would have access to or be given a password. but how is that possible that she would've known prior??
she was a student in NSW wasn't she?? so that answers my earlier question, she couldn't hve been working at whitehouse at the same time she" possibly" made these legal and jounalist contacts

I came across a photo of her and the School's Mock Trial Team for that year. I looked at the NSW Law Society's site which is involved in those trials - with REAL magistrates appointed.
How can a school not be relevant to anyone? That seems a foolish thing to say. Does which school you went to and/or if you were on a debating team at school, mean you WILL commit a crime in later years?
If you have a school debate on the price of eggs does that make a participant a chook in later life?
Who said anything about the School training her to "commit a crime". She was in a class which may have had some legal person as a guide; who she was able to turn to in her hour of need for guidance again.
Below is the Exit Profile for the students of the School.
- Maximised their full academic potential
- Developed individual skills and talents across a range of areas
- Developed learning strategies to equip them to be independent self motivated life long learners
- Developed emotional resilience, self reliance and leadership potential
- Recognise their responsibility to the wider community
- Developed a strong sense of social justices as well as commitment to fairness and equity
..............................................................................................................................
Maybe the final point in that list "inspired" her actions.
DEB
How can her schooling, what school she went to, what teams she was in at school.. be directly related to her decision to access and leak info about FA.
Nowhere did I imply that her education was the grounding for her to "commit a crime".
What does that assume.. Go to a good school.. lean towards criminal acts when you leave school. Go to a bad school.... ??
The link between school debating team and free lawyers is farcial
See above.
We are given 5 minutes to edit a post.. I use that feature.

Thank heavens I didn't mention the school. Because it has just been dragged through the mud.

always wait at least 5mins to respond
to am*3's posts. she has a habit of editing
her replies. not that there is anything wrong
with that but your reply will be based on the
unedited content. happened to me on more
than one occasion. it annoys me
