Not if the post had content in it and that content was replied to... before the content was edited out of the original post quoted. The content of the later made into a blank post I replied to the other day was nothing controversial, didn't contravene posting rules.. otherwise I wouldn't have replied to it.

Now who would have thought that the relatively benign action of recruiting someone to be a staffer for a pollie could have caused such ructions in the eBay community ? 
Politician has vacancy, recruits, interviews, employs someone. Hardly world-changing stuff. Incident becomes a seething cauldron of claim/counter-claim, the interpretation of law, the relative morality and merits of political parties and the meaning of words and much more.
Looks like the outrage bus has turned into a cruise ship.
