is this a serious conversation?

they recuited the other 7.

they were well aware of the punishment. not only did they risk their own lives they risked the lives of the other 7. that is before you take into account all the drug users who may have bought a hit from this smuggled drugs.

they have changed? right.

just what will they teach other inmates in prison? how to be a better smuggler.

Yep, as stated initially.

Read & read all fthe gripes.

My only point was the 'method of killing'.

And that is what it is.

Helen

How would you suggest the death penalty be carried out ?

Which method ?

Mr Grizz, from the very beginning of his sentence Myuran has taught English, Math, computer skills and art to Other inmates, people with no education, education is everything in Bali without it there is little else to do but steal or beg. Andrew Chan has recently started to teach cooking and food handling a very valuable thing to learn over there. I don't believe he is rehabilitated but who am I to judge?

I agree with a boycott, but not because of the executions.

So if it's not because of the executions, what is your reason for wanting to impose a travel boycott on  Bali?

Iapetus that is a vile accusation. I happen to like curry and have several Indonesian friends and colleagues.

She-el. Not that I owe you any explanations, but I have been there and I'd never go back. Mind you it was many years ago.

I hated that everywhere you go, you get swarmed by ppl begging you to buy their cheap trinkets, or just plain begging. Couldn't even go for a quiet walk on the beach without getting little kids trying to sell you seashells.

The filth and appalling poverty once you got away from the resorts and glamorous facades. Dead flies in the honey served up at breakfast.

Buckets of water in the toilets instead of toilet paper.

It's probably much better now with regard to facilities but from what I've seen in recent documentaries, probably much worse , with the drugs, alcohol, sex romps, and general tourist exploitation. Schoolies are an embarassment and no wonder the Indons disrespect us and view us with distaste behind our backs.

That, my friend, is why I would and do boycott Bali.

You should have quoted it, as the mods have now deleted it.

Apart from what it was, It was interesting thar SHE-EL and others didn't comment on it.

If we had posted that, they would have been all over us, calling us racist, biggoted,

the usual words that don't seem to apply to them

Re Bali

Why go on holiday to Bali where more than likely you will eat, drink, sleep and breathe other Aussies.

I see them at Darwin airport, most never stop to look at that city, even for a day !

To be completely fair, it's a bit hard to read something that's not there.  As I keep seeing people being told, we're not all on here 24/7

Vic.

please don't do that again.  If you want to address me, please do it via the public forum.  Thanks
