Indonesia is a very wealthy country with millions more people than Australia.

Strangest thing I have read all day. Millions of people in a country, makes it wealthy? Chortle.

Australia does not give Aid to wealthy countries.

What the Prime Minister needs to do is instruct Julie Bishop to hot-foot it to Jakarta, accompanied by advisers who understand the psyche that ­underlies Indonesian society, to meet her Indonesian counterpart to explore how the President can change his mind without being seen to do so. Not an easy assignment but not impossible.

I really thought, for such a delicate situation, surely someone would have written a clear and concise, gospel truth speech for him.

In reality he is only saying what he thinks people want to hear.  He is doing what he does best when he says he cares about the 2 on death row, telling fibs.  

I heard an Indonesian journalist in discussion in which he said that, unlike his predecessor, Widodo is 100% focussed on domestic affairs and is not interested in external issues, so is unlikely to even listen to arguments from other countries.

   Indeed......The word fictitious comes to my mind ..........someone people just don't like their neighbours for other reasons.
