If ISIS, yes, I can understand that.

 

If all arabic countries, no, some hate each other with a passion so it will never happen !!!

Past history is not easily forgotten and Saudi is often in the middle of it.

Remember all those "little wars" that occurred ? Yemen, Dhofar etc etc that the British fought.

The tensions haven't all gone away and memories are long.

I'm as far from a religious zealot as a person can get, but if my memory is correct...isn't it said in the bible that a charismatic person will come along and get to them to rally under one flag? Under a flag that is meant to conquer the world? I'm not sure, but I believe that will happen...all the ingredients are there (1st...an enemy they hate worse than each other).

But I agree about their memories. They're still whining about the crusades!

Don't ask me about the bible or religious studies, I failed it twice at "O" level because I refused to read the bible.

(About the only thing I vaguely remember is the 10 commandments and except the steal one, I don't adhere to them anyway).

Has Syria moved?  Last time I looked it was over 3 000km away from Italy.  I would expect that somebody would notice if ISIS was heading in the direction of Rome. 

ISIS is a brutal regime, if they control all of mohammeds lands and fight the west under one flag like someone said here they could become a lot more dangerous. The punishments they hand out like burning people alive, throwing people off tall buildings will become common place if this ever happens, I hope not.
