Oh, sorry, you ask how many days.

Some fruit or veg can last three or four days, others a week or a bit more.

Frozen food can last for a few month.

I like frozen, but I prefer fresh.

Oh that is so true.

Why do you think they use numbers for ingredients. Because Oxymolybidenium doesn't look good Smiley LOL

If people really knew what was in processed foods like Hot Dogs etc, Chicken Nuggets etc, they wouldn't eat them.

Yes they would.

It has now become an addictive habit to feed on fast food, a lot of people don't want to expend the energy to prepare food, or anything else for that matter

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

That's interesting. I know what you mean different fruit and veg.

I must admit I probably shy away from stuff that doesn't last long.

Although the GF buys those lettuce leaf bags from Wollies/Coles
which only seem to last a coupe of days.

I use "crispers" and containers a lot to keep things fresh.

Hi, vicr, Tupperware have a great Lettuce crisper. The Lettuce will stay fresh for almost two weeks.

I bought one about 30 years ago and still use it.

Now, we all know that NZ imports fruit and vegetables from China. So how safe is McCains food?

NZ also exports produce it grows to Australia.. so it could be NZ grown or imported.

Aust & NZ have the same Food Safety Standards, which apply to imported foods.

Longevity runs in the family?

Yes and No, I/We just tend to look after gear and equipment.

I should have added they are only used on camping/hunting trips but they still work and are still soft rubber.

I also hate the "throw away society". If it still works, why replace it. Then you don't have to recycle.

Your thoughts ?
