Good morning Stringsters
It is water in the pit but in this case it is in the 'pits'. Evidentally our service can be influenced by a pit half a mile away. We have had Telstra and Foxtel service the two pits in our street Fox staff say they are not allowed to touch them, just check them and they say they are corroded. Telstra came and 3 times said they had replaced wires but every time it rains we lose our service. I know there are lots of wires and any can corrode separately but the cost in manpower to continue to come to fix one wire at a time must surely outweigh the cost of replacing the whole lot at one time.
Keen to know what the movie is like Joono
Have a good day everyone.

morning everyone ![]()
it's shocking how they won't fix things properly Prim, in our case it was a couple of years before they replaced the rusty connector , not sure what they did prior to that, probably just clean the rust off it countless times but not only that it took them ages to even find what was wrong. They prefered instead to spin that the problem was on our property

I have a tooth ache..................*whinge whinge whinge.*
For someone who will tackle most things I am incredibly scared of the dentist..............I can rationlise it in my head and tell myself I am being stupid.................and then I just go to jelly when I even have to ring them.
Sooooooooooooo.......I am hoping it goes away.......![]()
We went for our walk last night....................normally there are hardly any people there...............but last night there was a sold out Foo Fighters concert ...........about 7000 people there.
Along all the wooden walkways across the water there were empty cans of alcohol everywhere.........people were drinking their drinks on the walk there and dumping the empties just before the entrances.

Good afternoon Stringers
Well that is the long weekend over for us here in the west - did very little, achieved even less - was a perfect weekend really lol
Hope your tooth ache has eased a bit Flashie. Imagine being a dentist - being so disliked by so many. Our dentist told me that more dentists commit suicide than any other profession. It's no wonder, looking at pained faces all the time.
j*oono - went to that movie today - will be interested to see what you thought of it. Lots of colour and movement but would have preferred more focus on the roles played by Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Bill Nighy than the wedding stuff. Still an enjoyable movie. Loved Maggie's last line! Won't spoil it for you Prim by telling you what it is - but particularly poignant.
Sorry you are still having internet problems Prim. Small consolation I know but at least we know the reason for your absences.

Hi Deb
It was enjoyaable and oh so relaxing lol
Not sure I would say it was well deserved (more necessary for my sanity really) but thanks for that thought anyway.
Appreciate it

You've had such a hot summer over there, is the weather better now?
Our summer was more tropical than anything this year, with high humidity and a fair bit of rain, sort of a bit unusual for Vic

It is still a bit humid here today Deb. I keep wondering whether it is just the weather or me having a hot flush ![]()
I think autumn is well and truly on its way though ..... thankfully. Much easier to sleep at night and that makes the days easier to get through. You have been having some cracker downpours havn't you? No damage I hope.

A little bit of damage here after the last storm, half a tree broke off and we lost a few slate tiles from the roof, will have to keep an eye out for leaks next time it rains. Much cooler at night here too.
