It's shocking, Indonesia showing their military might at a time like this is just awful. The ghastly death march on show, they have no humaninty.
I have no words that can describe my sympathy for the families of these two men.

Disgusting, disgraceful and barbaric. Shameful..

OK boys and girls what is the message to be taken away from this? Hands up anyone wanting to fly to Indonesia in the hope of smuggling drugs? If there is no show of hands these executions have served as a deterrent.

I just wish we didn't have to have a running commentary on the whole damn thing.
Every bleeding heart reporter with every tear and heart wrench you can think of written down for publication.
Makes me sick.

By playing this out in such a very public display do you think perhaps that Indonesia is trying to send a message to would be drug smugglers? The whole saga has been very public and everyone except that small percentage of people with a limited shelf life has received the message loud and clear. There will always be a number of people who through greed or stupidity witness their minds enter that inevitable atrohic phase.

Village
Spot on
Of course they are sending a message. And the Indos have had to do nothing because the media has beaten it up bigger than Ben Hur.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop is still holding out hope that they may get a stay because the is still legal a challenge before the court.
If they do not go ahead with the executions isn't that even more shocking to the prisoners to be paraded to the public like they have been, that would make Indonesia's President a monster.
For the comment "I just wish they'd get it over and done with" I'm sure the condemned will appreciate your sympathy and humanity.
