If I want to send a Comment notice to friends, ie a link to a video on another FB page, I thought you just clicked on Comment then put in the friends name but it's not working . ????????

That's all I usually do bright. Do you mean it's not autofilling when you start typing your friends name?

No it's not lurker and it should go blue shouldn't it? All it does is stay black and stay as a comment I made, lol. If anything's going to go wrong with Facebook it will be for me, it hates me. .

Dunno about the going blue thing? When I type (e.g.) Tri in the comments box a list come up with all my friends whose names start with those letters Trish, Tristan, etc. I then just tap on the one I want and it goes into the box in full and in bold. then they get a notification I have mentioned them in a comment.
Sorry, I know that's not a solution

The cause is in either the friend's or the video poster's privacy settings.
