Bob, you probably know this as well as I do . . . the definitons, the descriptions of what constitutes insanity (or any other forms of deviance) are written and encoded by those persons in society who have the Power to do so.

Those who are in power, set the rules and set the parameters which describe apparently pathological deviance.

(and equally, apparently pathological compliance with an obviously insane System?)

No, you have it wrong. Since the people in power set the norms, if we disagree with them then we are insane. (at least, that's their story)
