The Beatles Abbey Road crossing is still one of the top London tourist attractions. (Although mororists hate it apparently).

Stephen Fry has been mooted as a Clarkson replacement ... Wouldn't work, that would make Two of James May. The point of Top Gear isn't just the cars but the different personalities...changing topic a bit, but current news, too 🙂

Been to London several times for lengthy stays and not been to that crossing, I am sure motorists have to stop continuously

In the last ten minutes, there were two different sets of four people crossing in file (a la Beatle style), while someone else took a photo of them..

You should try driving along Abbey Road and see if those few metres it has allegedly said to have been moved, have made any difference. There are plenty of people who say it hasn't been shifted at all, by the way. Who knows ? It all adds to the 'Mysterious Abbey Road Affair' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Someone who used to live right near there says it's where it used to be...in relation to the studio.

I Googled Maps of Abbey Road, the street view shows a few rows of old Zebra Crossing alongside the current in-use Crossing. The road surface appears to need a bit of lurve.

Then to be on the safe side, piccies should be taken at 1M intervals all along the street 😉

If moved several times, it might be back where it used to be, by popular demand.
