If Pre Loved don't do you area, they may know if there is anyone else that does.

Failing that - advt on Gumtree - for pick up - inform prospective buyers in the ad that the plant is heavy and needs carrying down flights of stairs.

Didn't know such a set-up existed, but potted plants seem to be snapped up the same day on Freecycle.

thanks for the help.

I Tried the "pre-loved roots" thing but must be a bit of a scam or they're not in biz anymore as no-one answers the landline or the mob!

will try the Freecycle thing

Gumtree is good too.

Does anyone know the name of the company or organisation in SYDNEY that will take away unwanted indoor pot plants?

We are moving to a smaller apartment next month and won't have place for our large plant. I once used this service and they were really helpful, taking away - for free - the plants that we didn't need. Unfortunately I have lost their phone number!

We are in RANDWICK, near the Racecourse.

Will the new owners of your apartment like the plant to remain?

To lighten the load as such, can you remove the plant from the pot?

Use a rope to lower the plant and then the pot over the balcony or window sill?

Just some alternate thoughts.

Not a scam. I just checked their FB page and they closed down earlier this month.

thanks for the info: will try Freecycle, doesn't seem like any other alternative other than to dump it and ask Council to take it away. Can't leave it here as the owner is doing a major renovation of the place
