The only sure thing is that if both parents are Type O, all their children will be Type O. For the other types, there are other possibilities.

I have studied Genetics. The short answer is not necessarily 🙂

If this is a real life question, it's a good idea for everyone to know their bloodtype. Next time at a GP ask for it to be tested.

Good to know if you need a transfusion though. O-ve can be given to everyone but still good to know what you have.

I didn't know that O- could be given to everyone. I can't remembeer exactly what type my dad had but it was a much less common one than O+. When he was living in Perth the blood bank used to send a taxi for him for his regular donations.

I am a boring O+ but I guess that means I am lucky if I need blood.
