We have Ultimate Cable with foxtel and are having no trouble at all with them running. It is just a joy to tell Foxtel how expensive they are lol

You need a good net connection for netflix.    Have a look at the site and your provider.  Some include netflix in their quota so you won't need to worry about your data limits.  With other providers you'll need a large quota plan to enjoy streamed TV.  

 

With a good net service and unmetred netflix content, you could save heaps.

 

If they offer the programs you like.  I'm not sure about sport on netflix.  I doubt they have much Aussie sport but that is only a guess and could be wrong.

Sorry, popping in and out, have silverside (corned beef) on for dinner. Easy to start but high maintenance towards the end!!

I think its an HDMI cord? Mr nearly 15 said we'd just play it/use netflix through the playstation.

My son is doing it through the xbox, don't ask me how. lol

Hmmm, I wonder if the gadget my current foxtel uses would work? It has 2 pieces that plug into power points, one near the modem and one near the tv, the ethernet cables run from the modem to the box and from the tv to the other box.

It would be worth a try.  

Netflix doesn't offer sports, but if you have a smart TV and a good WIFI source, there are free sites for some sports........of course, I'm referring to here in the US.  I watched a replay of an Oregon game on Youtube on my TV tonight.

I am going to keep a close eye on usage, we have 500 GIG and probably only use about 1/5 of that at the moment  200 is most likely fine if you are just watching a movie or 2 each day at a guess

You'll get a fair few hours of viewing with 200GB data allowance.   It depends on your bandwidth how much you'll chomp through in an hour.   If you've got good bandwidth Netflix will use about 1GB per hour on a reasonably high quality stream.   If you've got a slower BB Netflix will adjust the quality of the stream accordingly.

Actually I guess one of them plugs into the foxtel box, not the tv. So maybe I could swap it to the tv and see if that works. Although I guess Telstra will want them back if I cancel my current foxtel subscription.

I might sign up for a free trial next week and see if I can figure it out.

Yeah, I forgot about Playstations.  That's because I don't use one. Only the kids do.  With Netflix you need to allocate the number of devices and pay accordingly and playstation is great because you can use it on different TVs if you want.
