It maybe a good idea if the buildings in big cities were involved.

I left the one light on that i use at night.

Turning it off would have given me a nice warm feeling-

like peeing in a wetsuit-..but no one else would notice.............................Richo.

I only ever have the one light on ....in whichever room I happen to be at the time.

When I was a child we were always told to turn the light off when we left a room and now it is just an ingrained habit.

My children and grandchildren do the same.

The house I am living in does have aircon but I would have used for about 3 hrs in total this Summer.

I also switch the TV etc off at the wall when they are not being used.

No-one else is supposed to notice. YOU are supposed to notice.

That is the whole point.

(And the city towers DO turn off their lights).

yep, it really raised awareness on here...lol

Didn't even realise it was Earth Hour.  Some years it get publicised and some years barely a word.

This year was barely a word.

Better luck next year.

Yeah me too, I forgot all about it. I comfort myself with the fact I always turn off the light when it's not needed. Old school me as against young GenX hubby. Who has no truck with Earth Hour.

Anybody with half a brain would have no truck with this useless and inconsequent antic.

Luckily those of us with a whole brain think it is a worthwhile idea.

Joono

I knew about it. Joono and I meant to turn off, usually our kids insist on doing it, but this year I got distracted by something and forgot the time

S/he left that one wide open for him/herself.
