on a lighter note, I just watched 'Interstella' (Yes I know I should be reading, but I had to have a break) and acording to that film the population of Earth (or what was left of it anyway) moved to another galaxy through a black hole. It must be true, it's on my TV.

So why then did your god make everything else? If it wasn't for us - then who?

Oh - but that's right, we don't know, as we're not allowed to question god's motives! it says so in the bible. Isaiah 55:8-9.

Maybe God caused the BIG BANG and controlled it so that the otherwise resulting confusion became order?

I can accept there may have been a catalyst - something that precipitated the BIG BANG and that one might just as well call it God as Singularity or Agent X but I cannot bring myself to accept that  this catalyst is a sentient being that thinks, feels and behaves exactly like a human being and demands that we look on it as a father and worship it. Try as I might, I simply cannot concieve of any   scenario in which this makes sense or is even possible.

I just got the latest Bunnings catalog. They are selling Universe kits for $9.99 - just add water and run like hell.
