Must all be part of god's plan for us!

Either that, or he likes cosmic skittles...

We won't have to worry about the sun turning into a red dwarf and cooking us.It's on the cards we'll get hit by a big rock before then.My guess though is we won't need any outside influence to 'kill' the planet. We're taking care of that task ourselves.

Actually, what I was alluding to is the sheer magnitude and vastness of the known universe - all supposedly made for little old us, to enjoy.

Sort of seems just so silly when you see the sizes of both planets and stars - in relation to the minute, insignificant speck that is our planet...

and who ever claimed it was all made for 'little old us'??? Earth was made for mankind.

on a lighter note, I just watched 'Interstella' (Yes I know I should be reading, but I had to have a break) and acording to that film the population of Earth (or what was left of it anyway) moved to another galaxy through a black hole. It must be true, it's on my TV.

So why then did your god make everything else? If it wasn't for us - then who?

Oh - but that's right, we don't know, as we're not allowed to question god's motives! it says so in the bible. Isaiah 55:8-9.

Yep. Just as real as that 2000 year-old book of fairytales.

Maybe what believers call God actually is the big bang

Maybe God caused the BIG BANG and controlled it so that the otherwise resulting confusion became order?

I can accept there may have been a catalyst - something that precipitated the BIG BANG and that one might just as well call it God as Singularity or Agent X but I cannot bring myself to accept that  this catalyst is a sentient being that thinks, feels and behaves exactly like a human being and demands that we look on it as a father and worship it. Try as I might, I simply cannot concieve of any   scenario in which this makes sense or is even possible.

I just got the latest Bunnings catalog. They are selling Universe kits for $9.99 - just add water and run like hell.
