No, the Mater hospital is a public hospital.  There are private wards, as there are in every public hospital.

You need Quentin Bryce.  She was instrumental in bringing about the first family planning clinic in Brisbane and opened it in the early 1970s.

You seem to miss the point.

There is nothing racist about defying a religion or the doctrines of a religion, don't mix your issues, it makes you look foolish.

But what is really the issue in this instance is the political aspect to Islam, which most other religions do not appear to include.

What this rally is about (I hope) is pointing out the obvious as per the following analogy.

If I choose to live in India or anywhere else in the world, then I do so to be a part of that lifestyle and culture. I would not do so with a view to attempt to change the country I am going to make my home, because where I came from is not where I prefer to be.

Any religion should be welcome anywhere in the world so long as it's followers keep their beliefs to themselves and in their homes. If you are one of those week enough to need religion to prop you up then I pity you, but it is your choice.

why is Islam coping so much attention now?, I thought that was bloody obvious. If any other religion did the same they would also receive attention.

Your attempts to taint anyone who dares to express an opinion in public which does not agree with yours shows you to be the intolent person.

I note how easy it is for you to make false and wild accusations from assumptions without declaring your identity.

Pathetic.

Learn to respect that others may differ from you in many ways and should be allowed to express that peacefully without fear of being branded with loathsome names by unidentified fools such as you.

If you want to live in a society where repression of views is the norm then there are many other countries in the world that will provide you with that right now. Why not go there I am sure you will love it.

But be sure it is one that will tolerate your beliefs so you do not get stoned to death.

Some people would prefer to live in their home countries but because of  war, faminie, political unrest etc they have to flee to another country.

Posters aren't required to declare their identity on forums and can be unwise to do so, in some circumstances.

i.e If you don't like it here, leave

If we all got a $1 everytime someone (racists and religious bigots) suggested that we would be millionaires.

Did anyone hear a man trying to promote this rally on Laws this morning?  His IQ was the same as his shoe size.  He echoed the same slogans and bile and hatred that we have seen here.  He was totally unable to answer the simplest questions relating to this movement.  If that was an example of the marchers, they are wasting their time.  At least get someone more articulate to push the cause.

Or in other words, don't come and live in my neighbourhood if you believe in freedom of worship.

Right with you mate!

Oh dear, I hardly know how to tell you all this, but I have just discovered something truly shocking. Not only does Vegemite carry an Halal registration label, but  one of its ads  actively promotes a group so well practised in terror tactics no other group is pepared to take it on.

Just watched footage of the rallies and I am appalled.
What would happen if they were just ignored?
No cameras. No news crews. No opposition?

The press are saying that only about 1000 people turned out for these reclaim marches Australia wide but when March in March held its first,  there were around 100,000 people . Oddly enough that one got no press coverage at all unlike this march or whatever they call it
