If I knew how to use the search feature, I'd look for the list of ideas that was compiled several months ago.

I've been wondering what kind of bird that is in Simone's photo. He reminds me of the Mynah bird I had when I was a kid, only his coloring was different. (Black with yellow wattles).

Is it a photo taken outside of a wild bird, Simone, or is he/she an indoor pet?

I like him, he's cute!

Here are some of the themes we've had but I haven't updated it for a while.  Maybe someone else has a full list.

Maybe lionrose could select the new theme? Second highest kudo's ( as did Erica who chose the last theme)

Arts, the bird is a young magpie so he's not changed to his full black and white.  He was a wild bird not a pet although I did consider all the magpies at Kooralbyn to be my pets.

Thanks Simone. I never would have guessed he was a magpie. We have them in the U.S. too but I've never seen one. I was reading that  black-billed Magpies (found in the western U,S,) will hold a sort of "funeral" when they come upon a dead magpie. Up to forty birds will gather in a tree and call out raucously for 10-15 minutes and then they'll all fly off in silence.

Kind of like the way elephants honour their dead by scattering their bones.

Animals are amazing.
