A video that captures the moments a Muslim woman was the subject of a racist verbal attack on a Sydney train has been viewed nearly 80,000 times.

The video was recorded on a phone by Stacey Eden, 23, who can be heard telling the older woman to stop disrespecting the Muslim woman who was with her husband and wearing a headscarf at the time.

Ms Eden said she noticed the old woman was verbally abusing the couple, who said nothing.

"The lady next to me was saying things like 'all the people that were dying were because of the Muslims in the world and look what's happening overseas'," she said.

Ms Eden said the woman continued by saying: "Read the newspapers, why are you following this religion for, why do you wear things like that so you can marry a man who's going to go marry a 6-year-old?"

We love to talk about what our diggers and Anzacs would think about things. Can't imagine what they would think about Aussie people wearing swastikas to protest against other Aussie people.

* i have no idea who the second link it. Its clearly a religious group and their mission statement is completely different from the current Reclaim Australia group.

* Regarding the article polks has posted, bullying is wrong. Abusing woman who wear the head scarves is wrong. I would never do it. But, I still believe the scarf is a symbol of oppression.

Anyone who disagrees with that should visit the 'My Stealthy Freedom' fb page.

* I cant see any swastikas in the pic that keeps getting posted, its too small, but i do know the Reclaim Rally organizers had this posted on their site and regularly posted it on all their fb pages
