The bus stops were so full down there at 7 am  that people couldn't fit under the shelters, one advantage of working from home

windy. the whole summer was very windy. not as hot as usual but very windy so that the soil was bone dry. you water and after an hour it's all dry again even with pea straw on.

we don't have any wind here right now but I feel for you all in Sydney. Those strong winds can do some serious damage

I'm in Brissie, but my brother's on the NSW Central coast - he's lost his garden shed & back fence and tells me all roads are flooded and the rail line from Newcastle to Sydney is closed.  He's been up since 3am - said the wind is the scariest he has ever experienced.

It's pretty bad, I just went down to the Commonwealth Bank at the beach, no waiting and park right out the front lol
