Meanwhile, back at the ranch

can anyone advise me on hanging plants. No, not hanging my plants - they have done nothing wrong - I meaning plants that hang.

I have a retaining wall. I would like to plant some plants at the top of the wall and 'train them' to fall down to cover the retaining wall.

Are there such plants or would I have to plant some at the bottom of the wall and let them grow up the wall?

i think any climber will do. just take one you like and which suits the climate.

wysteria is nice too but it's too dry here for that where i live.

You can plant lots of natives that will hang down, look for ground covers and prostrate ones. I have a nice one that does that but can't recall the name, also look at succulents that spread.

Trachelospermum jasminoides

A few questions for you rabbits before I give my considered opinion.

1.  How high is the retaining wall?

2. Which direction does it face?

3. Is it a brick wall or timber?

Sunny?....Shady?.... both?..... or dappled light?.....Which state do you live?.

I'm picturing some Ivy Geraniums cascading down a retaining wall covered in blossoms......They can handle most conditions.

And flower all year round.
