I've just been looking at the photos.  What an absolute mess.

Yes, major mess.

 

It wasn't/ isn't a wind 'you would be used to'. How often do workers in Syd get sent home at 2.30pm because of adverse weather? Not usual.

 

There is a scary pic of a two storey house that got split in two and mangled when a big tree fell on it at 3am. Amazingly the couple inside (were asleep at the time) got out without any serious injuries. That was near Newcastle. They had just finished renovating the house too.
