you mean hardenbergia? the purple one  grows biggish the white and pink ones grow small and wouldn't cover much. bunnings sells it.

@lol @ wisteria ....... maybe some people have sheltered areas where they grow it....... or maybe they are in areas that get colder.................. rabbit is higher up than me, so humidity is higher, so probably not a good choice. I do like Polks last suggestion though, that may be what I need for my area.

I have star jasmine on a trellis and I am forever cutting it back from my security screens.

Grown and admired in China and Japan for over a thousand years, wisteria is one of the great garden plants.

These vigorous, long lived climbers like a sunny position with good drainage and reliable moisture during flowering and the initial growth period. In Australia they grow well in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Sydney and the mountains.

As Azure said, the one in my pic does not grow in Queensland, but a native one does.

Description: Vigorous, scrambling evergreen climber. It has compound leaves with 7 to 13 dark green glossy leaflets. Large white to purple pea-shaped flowers are borne in dense racemes from late winter to spring.
Best climate: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the tropics, and worth a try in inland areas, Perth and Adelaide.

Allamanda,  very hardy, yellow is common but there are other colours

lol all you like Az, 2 of my friends live in the Brisbane burbs and the both have Wisteria growing 🙂

Now I know where rabbit is, some of us had no idea, and it matters.   There are heaps of climbers to grow in Queensland.

Hardenbergia is a diferent plant altogether.
