Just got home from the service at the Shrine in Melbourne, wet but moved:)

I have never seen so many at the dawn service.  They had a piper on one corner and a bugalist (?) on the other and it was so mournful.  I helped cook breakfast for approx 300 but it ran like clockwork.  We all had a job and we all just done it.

Well the rain stayed away and we had a pretty good turn out for such a little town. Breakfast was held at the local hall instead of the RSL which would have been bursting at the seams. Bacon, eggs and sausages....yum!

Oh and better yet, the service wasnt interrupted by the garbos driving past like it was last year.

I made it.  My hands are just thawing out now.

A fantastic turnout for a local service.  I would say three times as many people as most years and the RSL members running the show were just so grateful to see so many there.

Joono

We walked down at 5.30, never seen so many people wandering the streets in the dark.
